戦前から戦後に日米を股にかけて活躍した木琴（ザイロフォン）奏者・平岡養一（1907-1981）は、同時代の高名な作曲家たちへ幾つもの協奏曲を委嘱し、独奏楽器としての木琴の地位向上にも尽力した。そのなかには平岡が演奏しなかった作品、あるいは現在はマリンバ協奏曲となった作品も多い。木琴演奏をライフワークとする飯野晶子が澄み渡る音とダイナミックな表現で贈る、知られざる名作を含む三作品。

飯野晶子（ザイロフォン）
国立音楽大学音楽学部卒業。ノース・テキサス大学大学院音楽学部修士、博士課程（いずれも打楽器演奏専攻）修了。博士論文のテーマは「平岡養一の芸術家としての人生と木琴演奏芸術における彼の影響について」。留学中はノース・テキサス・ウインド・シンフォニーのメンバーとしても活躍。PASIC（国際打楽器芸術協会世界大会）を含む、数々の国際カンファレンスで演奏し、多数のCDとDVDの収録に参加。2013年夏の帰国後は、フリーランスの打楽器奏者として演奏・指導に携わり、ジャパンバンドクリニックでの打楽器講座講師、上野信一＆フォニックス・レフレクションのメンバーとしての演奏活動やCD収録も行う。一方、ソロ・室内楽作品の委嘱・初演にも取り組み、これまでに世界初演が15曲、日本初演が２曲ある。東京で2016年・2018年に打楽器リサイタルを、2022年に木琴リサイタルを開催。2018年にPASIC 招聘演奏。2021年にインターナショナル・マリンバ・オーケストラのメンバーに選ばれ、参加した唯一の日本人。

佐藤友美（ピアノ）
桐朋学園大学音楽学部演奏学科卒業。アンサンブルピアニストとして、コンサートやレコーディング、FM放送等、多方面で数多くの国内外のアーティストと共演を重ねている。1997~2004年桐朋学園大学嘱託演奏員。2002・2010年済州島国際コンクール（ユーフォニアム部門）、2007・2008年浜松国際管楽器アカデミー＆フェスティバル、2014年ジャック・ランスロ国際クラリネット・コンクールJapan2014の公式ピアニストを務める。

Akiko Iino-Goto xylophone
On graduating from Kunitachi College of Music, Akiko Iino-Goto went on to complete master’s and doctoral studies at the University of North Texas. The title of her doctoral dissertation was “Yoichi Hiraoka: His Artistic Life and His Influence on the Art of Xylophone Performance”. While studying in the US she was a member of the North Texas Wind Symphony. As a member of North Texas Wind Symphony, she has performed at numerous international conferences, such as PASIC (Percussive Arts Society International Convention), and has participated in many CD and DVD recordings. Since returning to Japan in 2013, she has worked as a freelance percussionist and teacher - she gave a lecture at the Japan Band Clinic and has performed and made recordings with Shiniti Uéno & PHONIX Réflexion. She is also an enthusiastic performer of solo and chamber music and has commissioned and premiered numerous works. To date she has given fourteen world premieres and two Japanese premieres. She gave percussion recitals in Tokyo in 2016 and 2018, and a xylophone recital in 2022, and was invited to perform at the 2018 PASIC. She was selected for the International Marimba Orchestra in 2021 and was the only Japanese member.

Yumi Sato piano
Since completing undergraduate studies in performance at Toho Gakuen College of Music, Yumi Sato has enjoyed an active career as an ensemble artist, giving concerts and making recordings and FM broadcasts, all the while collaborating with both Japanese and international artists. She was a contract musician at Toho Gakuen College of Music from 1997 to 2004 and was an official pianist at the International Jeju Brass Competition (euphonium section) in 2002 and 2010, at the Hamamatsu International Wind Instrument Academy and Festival in 2007 and 2008, and at the Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition Japan in 2014.
