高田あずみ（バッハ・コレギウム・ジャパン、オーケストラ・リベラ・クラシカ）と高田はるみ（都響）によるデュオの結成10周年を記念したファースト・アルバム。2人ともモダンとバロックを自在に行き来する稀有なヴァイオリニスト。2つのヴァイオリンという最小単位の室内楽であるにも関わらず、スケールの大きな音楽が生み出される。

Duo SORELLE
高田あずみ、はるみの姉妹によるヴァイオリン・デュオ。SORELLEとは「姉妹」の意。2009年に名古屋と東京で初公演を行い、同年11月にはNHK-FM「名曲リサイタル」に出演。2011年にDuo SORELLE として正式にデュオを結成、同年10月に「ヴァイオリン・デュオ・リサイタルvol.1」を開催。以後、東京で定期的なリサイタルを行うとともに、各地でのコンサートにも出演している。
２本のヴァイオリンのための作品はあまり知られていないが、古今の名曲や知られざる傑作など幅広く取り上げている。また、姉妹とも、モダン楽器とオリジナル楽器の演奏を行なっていることから、さまざまな時代の作品をそれらに相応しいスタイルで演奏することを志している。


高田あずみ（ヴァイオリン）
Azumi TAKADA, violin

3歳より「才能教育研究会（スズキ・メソード）」でヴァイオリンを始める。桐朋女子高等学校音楽科、桐朋学園大学音楽学部卒業、同研究科生課程修了。青山寿男、上条尚人、鷲見三郎、海野義雄、三善晃、岩崎淑の各氏に師事。1983年第2回日本国際音楽コンクール第4位入賞。1985年第41回ジュネーヴ国際音楽コンクール最高位　(1位なしの2位)に入賞し、内外の注目を集めた。
　一方、バロック･ヴァイオリン奏者としては、1981年より　｢オトテール･アンサンブル｣のメンバーに加わり、アルヒーフ・レーベルにレコーディングをおこなう。その後｢バッハ･コレギウム･ジャパン（BCJ）｣、｢オーケストラ・リベラ・クラシカ（OLC）｣などのコンサート･ミストレスとして活躍している。　さらに、ジャズの分野でも｢スウィート・ファンタジア・オーケストラ｣のソロ･ヴァイオリニストとして参加している。東京都交響楽団、大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団、東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団など各地のオーケストラとの共演をはじめ、レコーディング、室内楽などでも活躍している。
　また､無伴奏作品による｢高田あずみ◎solo!｣、野平一郎氏の共演による｢バルトーク◎ヴァイオリン・ソナタ｣のCDをリリースし、絶賛を得る。1995年度村松音楽賞受賞。


高田はるみ（ヴァイオリン）
Harumi TAKADA, violin

3歳より「才能教育研究会(スズキ・メソード)」でヴァイオリンを始める。愛知県立明和高等学校音楽科、東京藝術大学音楽学部を経て、同大学大学院修士課程修了。青山寿男、上条尚人、海野義雄、田中千香士、原田幸一郎の各氏に師事。在学中、ＮＨＫ洋楽オーディション合格。岐阜県新人演奏会、岐阜県芸術祭、東京文化会館推薦新人演奏会などに出演。日本演奏連盟賞を受賞し、第30回日演連推薦新人演奏会にて、外山雄三指揮／名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団と協演。沖縄ムーンビーチ・ミュージック・キャンプに参加。1989年に東京都交響楽団に入団後、1990年には、「演連コンサート」のオーディション（ソロ）に合格。名古屋、東京にて初リサイタルを開き、その後も、名古屋、東京などで定期的にリサイタルやサロンコンサートを行う。アフィニス夏の音楽祭(飯田、広島)に複数回参加。
現在、オーケストラ奏者としての活動のほか、バロック・ヴァイオリン奏者として、｢バッハ･コレギウム･ジャパン（BCJ）｣、｢オーケストラ・リベラ・クラシカ（OLC）｣のメンバーとしても活動している。

Duo SORELLE
A violin duo of the Takada sisters, Azumi and Harumi. Sorelle means ‘sisters’ in Italian. They gave their first concerts in Nagoya and Tokyo in 2009, followed by an appearance on NHK FM radio soon after. They officially launched themselves as Duo SORELLE in 2011, giving their ‘Violin Duo Recital vol. 1’ in October of that year, and have subsequently given regular recitals in Tokyo and concerts all over Japan.
Many people may not be familiar with works written for two violins, but there is a significant number of great works, both new and old, as well as many unknown masterpieces. As they play both baroque and modern violins, the two sisters strive to perform each work in a way that best suits its period and style.


Azumi Takada, violin

Azumi began learning the violin under the Suzuki method when she was three years old. She studied music at the Toho Girls’ Senior High School, after which she completed both undergraduate and graduate studies at Toho Gakuen School of Music. She studied the violin with Hisao Aoyama, Hisato Kamijo, Saburo Sumi, Yoshio Unno, Akira Miyoshi and Shuku Iwasaki. She won 4th prize in the 2nd IMCJ music competition in 1983, and in 1985 she won the top prize (2nd prize as 1st prize was not awarded) in the 41st Geneva International Music Competition, an event which attracted attention both in Japan and internationally.
As a baroque violinist, she has been a member of the Hotteterre Ensemble since 1981, with whom she makes recordings on the Archiv label. She is also a concertmaster of Bach Collegium Japan (BCJ) and Orchestra Libera Classica (OLC). In the field of jazz, she has performed as a solo violinist with Sweet Fantasia Orchestra. She has performed with orchestras such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and is active as a recording artist and chamber musician.
Azumi has so far released two highly acclaimed CDs: a collection of unaccompanied works entitled “Solo!” and a recording of the Bartok Violin Sonatas with pianist Ichiro Nodaira. She won the Muramatsu Music Prize in 1995.


Harumi Takada, violin
Harumi began learning the violin under the Suzuki method when she was three years old. She studied music at the Meiwa High School in Aichi Prefecture, and subsequently completed both undergraduate and graduate studies at Tokyo University of the Arts. She studied the violin with Hisao Aoyama, Naoto Kamijo, Yoshio Unno, Chikashi Tanaka and Koichiro Harada. She has appeared in a Gifu Prefecture Young Artist’s Concert, the Gifu Prefecture Arts Festival, and a Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Emerging Artist’s Concert. She won the Japan Federation of Musicians Prize, and played a concerto solo with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yuzo Toyama at the 30th JFM Young Artist’s Concert. She participated in the Okinawa Moon Beach Music Camp. After becoming a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in 1989, she passed a JFM Concert (solo) audition. Following her first concerts in Nagoya and Tokyo, she has continued to give regular recitals and salon concerts in Tokyo, Nagoya and around Japan. She has participated many times in the Affinis Music Festival.
At present, in addition to her work as an orchestral performer, she is a member of Bach Collegium Japan (BCJ) and Orchestra Libera Classica (OLC) in which she plays the baroque violin.
