谷辺昌央（ギター）
　名古屋生まれ。4歳より早期音楽教育を受ける。７歳から父のもとでギターを始め、その後酒井康雄、鎌田慶昭の各氏に師事。東京大学文学部卒。1999年よりドイツ、ケルン音楽大学にてＲ.アウセル氏に師事し、首席卒業。古楽をK. ユングヘーネル氏に、現代音楽をP. アルヴァレス氏に、音楽現象学をH. リウ氏の下で学ぶ。カールスルーエ音楽大学にてＡ.フォン･ヴァンゲンハイム氏に師事し国家演奏家資格を取得。
　1986年学生ギターコンクール第1位、GLC最優秀賞、1988年クラシカルギターコンクール第1位、1995年東京大学在学中に、東京国際ギターコンクール最高位となる。2004年ゲーベルスベルク国際ギターコンクール 第1位、 2005年ホセ･トーマス国際ギターコンクール首席入賞、2006年ノルバ･カエサリーナ国際ギターコンクール第1位、ジョアン･ファレッタ国際ギターコンチェルトコンクール第２位、聴衆特別賞など、多数のコンクールで入賞。
　2005年ワシントンDCのケネディーセンターにてアメリカ･デビュー。2006年ニューヨークにおけるバッファロー･フィルハーモニー管弦楽団との共演は2000人の聴衆総立ちという大成功を収め、全米およびEU全域でラジオ中継された。ドイツ、アメリカ、スペイン、モンテネグロ、ブラジル、日本などのオーケストラと共演多数。アルゼンチンの“世界のギター音楽祭”他、ヨーロッパ、北米、南米、アジアのフェスティヴァルに招かれリサイタルを行う。西ドイツ放送、アルゼンチン国営放送、西ニューヨーク放送等へ出演。
　南米ツアーにおいては、ブラジルで日系移民100周年記念事業の一環として、林光のギター協奏曲「北の帆船」を南米初演。2010年コジマ録音よりデビューCD「アセントゥアード」をリリース。レコード芸術特選盤、読売新聞サウンズボックス特選盤など各方面より高い評価を得る。 2011年より日本に活動の拠点を移し、ＮＨＫ・名曲リサイタル、東京オペラシティ、宗次ホールでのリサイタルなど日本での活動を本格化させている。2013年名古屋音楽ペンクラブ賞受賞。

Masao Tanibe guitar
Born in Nagoya. Received early musical education at the age of four. Started learning guitar from his father at the age of seven; then studied under Yasuo Sakai and Yoshiaki Kamata. Continued studies under Roberto Aussel at the Cologne University of Music (Musikhochschule Köln) in Germany from 1999 and graduated with top honors. Studied classical music, contemporary music, and musical phenomenology under Konrad Junghänel, Paulo Alvares, and Han An Liu, respectively. Went on to study under Andreas von Wangenheim at University of Music Karlsruhe (Musikhochshule Karlsruhe) and completed the Konzertexamen (Concert Exam).
Won first place at the 1988 Classical Guitar Competition and top award at the Tokyo International Guitar Competition in 1995 while attending the University of Tokyo. Won awards at various competitions: First place at the 2004 Guitar Festival Gevelsberg, top honors at the 2005 International Guitar Competition “José Tomás,” first place at the 2006 International Guitar Competition “Norba Caesarina,” second place and the audience favorite award at the JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition.
Masao Tanibe made his U.S. debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in 2005. Receiving a standing ovation from an audience of 2,000 listeners, his performance with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in New York in 2006 was a great success. The concert was broadcast over the radio nationwide in the United States and throughout the entire EU region. He has given many performances with orchestras of such countries as Germany, the United States, Spain, Montenegro, Brazil, and Japan. He has been invited to perform at music festivals in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, including the Festival of Guitars of the World in Argentina, and held recitals there. His performances have also been broadcast over WDR (West German Broadcasting), RAE (International Service of Argentine Radio), WNED (Western New York Public Broadcasting), and other broadcasting stations.
During his South America tour, Tanibe performed the South American premiere of Hikaru Hayashi’s guitar concerto titled “Northern Sail” as a part of celebratory events commemorating the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Brazil. In 2010, he released his debut CD titled “Acentuado” from ALM RECORDS. The CD received high acclaim from Record Geijutsu Magazine, the Yomiuri Shimbun, and various other media. Having moved his base of operations to Japan in 2011, Tanibe has been actively performing in this country, appearing on NHK Meikyoku Recital and giving recitals at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and Munetsugu Hall (Nagoya). In 2013, he received the Nagoya Music Pen Club Award.
