詩と音楽の幸福なる邂逅──250年の時を経て歴史に足跡を残した２人の作曲家の物語
イギリス音楽史に燦然と輝く作曲家パーセル（1659-1695）とブリテン（1913-1976）。パーセルが開拓した英語のもつ音の輝き、自由さ、活力をいかした音楽を終生の規範としたブリテンは、パーセル作品を積極的に編曲し、250年前の偉大な作曲家の存在を現代に蘇らせた。「Fairest Isle＝美しき島」で生まれたパーセルとブリテンの歌曲とこの島で生まれた民謡を、柔らかな糸でひとつのプログラムに編み上げたのは気鋭のソプラノ村井香子（むらいきょうこ）。ギター＆リュートの竹内太郎、ヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバの平尾雅子、そしてピアノの今川裕代ら名手たちによる最高のサポートを得た清冽な歌声が、心の奥底を震わせる。

連続テレビ小説「マッサン」や「花子とアン」でも話題になり、特に中高年の間で大ヒットとなっている「広い河の岸辺 ～The Water Is Wide～」（原題「ああ何たること、悲しいかな O Waly Waly」）ほか、「グリーンスリーヴズ」、「サリー・ガーデンズ」など、日本人にも馴染み深いメロディがブリテンのアレンジにより新たなる表情を見せる。



村井 香子（ソプラノ）
東京都出身。武蔵野音楽大学声楽科卒業。1999年に渡英し、トリニティ音楽大学声楽専攻科ポストグラジュエイト・ディプロマを首席で修了。その後、文化庁新進芸術家海外留学研修員としてギルドホール音楽院古楽科にて声楽を学び、修士（M.Mus.）を取得。在学中にパーセルのキング・アーサーのキューピット役を演じポール・シン・オペラ賞、またロイ・プレサンス声楽コンクールで第1位、エラ・キドニー古楽コンクールで第1位受賞。2009年グリニッジ国際古楽フェスティバルにてソロ・リサイタルを行った。イギリスの室内合唱団、イングリッシュ・ヴォイシス、またフィラモニア・コーラスの団員としてBBCオーケストラ、エイジ・オブ・インライトゥンメント管弦楽団等とイギリス国内を中心にヨーロッパ各地、アメリカ公演に参加する。
これまでに声楽を亀井陽二、リンダ・ハーストに師事、エマ・カークビー、エヴリン・タブ、セイラ・ウォーカー各氏に指導を受けた。ナンシー・ハッデンとサリテ女声コーラス「Ceremony of Carols キャロルの祭典」「Judith Cloud, Three Spells ジュディス・クラウド　3つの呪文」（CRD レコード）ほか、多くの録音に参加した。

竹内 太郎（バロック・ギター＆リュート）
京都生まれ、立教大大学卒業後、ロンドンのギルドホール音楽院でナイジェル・ノースに師事。文化庁派遣芸術家としてバッハのリュート作品とバロック時代のギター音楽を研究。ベルリン・フィル、啓蒙時代オーケストラ、ナイジェル・ケネディ、レイチェル・ポッジャーなどとの共演の他、ソロ活動も活発に行っている。CDには「フォリアス！」「アフェットーソ」「ギターの世紀」などがあり、「古楽器のコルトレーン」「高貴な演奏」などと評された。2015年には浜松市楽器博物館の所蔵楽器を用いたCD「18世紀のギター音楽（仮称）」がリリースされる。英国リュート協会前理事、日本リュート・アーリーギター・ソサエティ・ディレクター。ロンドン在住。

平尾雅子（ヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバ）
京都に生まれる。国立音楽大学楽理科卒業後、スイスのバーゼル・スコラ・カントルムでディプロム取得。更にオランダのハーグ王立音楽院にて研鑽を積む。在欧中はジョルディ・サバル氏主宰「エスペリオンXX」のメンバーとして活動。帰国後は自らの研究をもとに数多くの演奏会、ＣＤ録音を企画。コジマ録音(ALM)よりＣＤ《マラン・マレの横顔》 I - V (全盤レコード芸術誌特選盤。IVは2006年レコード・アカデミー賞［音楽史部門］受賞)、《J.S.バッハ、ヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバソナタ全３曲他》、《ディエゴ・オルティス ルネサンス装飾の粋》（同誌および朝日新聞特選盤）他多数リリースされている。2010年アルテスパブリッシングよりオルティス著『変奏論(Trattado de Glosas)』解説付き邦訳を、2014年にはドイツのEdition Offenburgより『ORTIZ:RECERCATE』を出版。国立音楽大学、京都市立芸術大学非常勤講師。

今川 裕代（ピアノ）
シュトゥットガルト国立音楽大学及びザルツブルグ·モーツァルテウム国立音楽大学修士課程首席修了。アンドレ・マルシャン、故ハンス・ライグラフ各氏に師事。サレルノ国際ピアノコンクール第１位、シューベルト国際ピアノコンクール第２位、ブラームス国際音楽コンクール第２位、A.ルービンシュタイン国際コンクール第３位など受賞多数。英国王室宮殿内での御前演奏やヨーロッパ各地の音楽祭出演のほか、ＮＨＫ響、東京フィル、新日本フィル、関西フィル、日本センチュリー響、アンサンブル金沢、チェコ国立ブルノ・フィル、ドルトムント・フィル、ベネズエラ響、レニングラード国立歌劇場管など数多くのオーケストラと共演し、幅広く活動を展開している。

Kyoko Murai, soprano
Kyoko Murai was born in Tokyo. She studied at Trinity College of Music London with Linda Hirst, and won first prize in the Roy Pleasance singing competition and the Paul Simm Opera Prize. She furthered her studies in London at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama with support from the Bunka–cho, the agency for cultural affairs in Japan. As winner of the Ella Kidney Early Music competition, she gave a solo recital at the 2007 Greenwich International Early Music Festival. Kyoko was a soloist on recordings of “Ceremony of Carols” and “Judith Cloud Three Spells” with the Psallite Women’s Choir, directed by Nancy Hadden (CRD record). She also worked with English Voices, directed by Timothy Brown and took part in the Philharmonia Chorus Professional Singers' scheme. Kyoko regularly performs in Tokyo and London.

Taro Takeuchi, baroque guitar & lute
Taro Takeuchi was born in Kyoto, Japan. He studied the lute and early guitar with Nigel North at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Since leaving college, he has been in great demand as soloist and ensemble player, and has toured most European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, USA and Japan. He has worked with The Royal Opera House, The Orchestra of Age of Enlightenment, Berliner Philharmonic, as well as Sir Simon Rattle, Rachel Podger and Nigel Kennedy. He has made numerous recordings for Deux-Elles, EMI, Hyperion, Harmonia Mundi, BBC and others. Taro presently lives in London, where he has an excellent collection of original lutes and early guitars.

Masako Hirao, viola da gamba
Kyoto-born Masako Hirao graduated from Kunitachi College of Music, having studied the viola da gamba and musicology. She then went on to Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland. After graduating with a performance diploma from that institution, Masako Hirao continued her studies with Wieland Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague in the Netherlands. She was a member of the “Hesperion XX” ensemble, led by Jordi Savall. Since returning to Japan, she has taken part in recitals, concerts and recordings with leading performers from Japan and around the world. For ALM Records, Masako Hirao has recorded Vols 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the series “A Profile of Marin Marais” (each chosen as “Record Geijutsu Highly Recommended Discs”. Vol. 4 received an award in the 45th Record Academy Awards in 2007), and “The Complete Viola da Gamba Sonatas of J.S. Bach”. In 2010 she published the Japanese edition of Diego Ortiz’s “Trattado de Glosas” with Artes Publishing, and in 2012 published “Recercate, for Viol and Harpsichord” with Edition Offenburg (Germany). She teaches at the Kunitachi College of Music and the Kyoto City University of Arts.

Hiroyo Imagawa, piano
The pianist Hiroyo Imagawa completed her studies under Prof. André Marchand at the State Music University in Stuttgart and Prof. Hans Leygraf at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg earning her master's degree with highest honor. She is a Prize-winner of several international competitions: the 1st Prize and the special Debussy Prize at the Piano Competition “Città di Salerno”, the 2nd Prize at the Schubert Piano Competition, the 2nd Prize at the J.Brahms Competition and the 3rd Prize at the Anton Rubinstein Piano Competition. Her performances include appearances at the established festivals such as Schwetzinger Festival, Mosel Musicfestival, Festival of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Flandern Festival, Pianoforte Festival in Meissen, Takefu International Musikfestival. Being a distinguished soloist, Hiroyo Imagawa was invited to give performances such as with NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Century Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble Kanazawa, Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra.
