あのモーツァルトをも魅了し、当時ヨーロッパ随一と謳われたマンハイム宮廷楽団。その実力派集団を育て上げたヨハン・シュターミッツと息子カールの協奏曲や交響曲は、進歩的な様式と卓越した管弦楽法によってヨーロッパ全土を席巻した。とりわけ、クラリネットの地位を高め、オーケストラ編成を充実させた功績は特筆すべきものがある。その後の音楽史を決定づけた18世紀マンハイムの音楽の魅力を、九響首席クラリネット奏者タラス・デムチシンと、北九州市を拠点に活躍著しい「響ホール室内合奏団」の活気あふれる演奏が伝える。

 1984年、ウクライナのリヴィフ生まれ。S. クルシェリヌィーツィカ音楽学校、ミコーラ・リーセンコ音楽大学を卒業後、ドイツに留学し、ダルムシュタット音楽芸術アカデミーで学ぶ。Villa Musicaより奨学金を得てベルリンに拠点を移し、ハンス・アイスラー音楽大学を首席で卒業。これまでに、K. ヘンネル、Y. コルチンスキー、M. シュミット、K. シュミット、R. フォースター、D. キューンの各氏に師事。ドミトロ・ヴィダ国際コンクール(2000/2003年)、バルトハウゼン城コンクール(2005年)で第2位、ダ・ポンテ財団コンクール(2005年)、オーベルストドルフ夏期音楽セミナーコンクール(2006年)で第1位を受賞。第12回大阪国際音楽コンクール(2011年)で木管楽器部門第1位他、グランプリ、オーディエンス賞、アルソ賞をトリプル受賞。ARD国際音楽コンクール(2012年)に出場。2007年より九州交響楽団首席クラリネット奏者に就任。同交響楽団と手塚幸紀指揮でモーツァルト、下野竜也指揮でウェーバーの協奏曲をソリストとして共演。2010年には指揮者としての活動も始める。これまでに指揮を秋山和慶、2013年より上野学園において、下野竜也、大河内雅彦の各氏に師事。2012年、セビリアにてセビリア王立交響楽団のメンバーと室内楽コンサートを行う。同年、A. ブリバエフ指揮・九州交響楽団とコープランドの協奏曲を共演。また、アンサンブル神戸に招かれL. シュピーラー指揮でウェーバーの協奏曲を共演。また、2013年、九州交響楽団定期演奏会において、G. ベルク指揮でモーツァルトの協奏曲を共演。2014年1月には、ヤマハ銀座コンサートサロンにてリサイタルを開催する。その他、ゲスト首席奏者として新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団に招かれるなど、さまざまな分野で精力的に活動する。2013年4月よりヤマハ・オフィシャルクラリネットアーティストとなり、同年、世界初録音のエチュード「ドゥレクリューズ:古典・現代作品の主題による14の大練習曲」(コジマ録音)を発売。

ナザール・ヤスニツキー(ヴァイオリン)
 ウクライナのリヴィフ生まれ。リヴィフのS. クルシェリヌィーツィカ音楽学校を皮切りに音楽を学び、1995年ミコーラ・リーセンコ音楽大学卒業。1996年にはライナー・クスマウルやトーマス・ブランディスといったベルリン・フィルのコンサートマスターたちに師事。1994〜1998年にはリヴィフ国立オペラ・バレエ劇場にてアシスタント・コンサートマスターを担当。同時にリヴィフ・ヴィルトゥオーソではコンサートマスターを務め、多くの室内楽を演奏し、自身のカルテット「オペラ・アンド・バレエ」を主宰。1998〜2001年、ビドゴシュチ(ポーランド)のオペラ・ノヴァにてコンサートマスター、ソリストを担当。2001年よりセビリア王立交響楽団にてコンサートマスターなどを務める。その他オルケスタ・スールなど数々のオーケストラや室内アンサンブルにてコンサートマスターなどとして活躍。

オスカー・マーティン(チェンバロ)
 1976年セビリア音楽院入学。ホス・アントニオ・コーソ、アナ・ギハロに師事。以降、フライブルク音楽大学、マドリード・ソフィア王妃高等音楽院、アムステルダム音楽院にてティボール・サーズ、ヴィタリー・ベルゾン、ドミトリー・バシキーロフ、ガリーナ・エギアザロバ、ヤン・ヴィンに師事。アルムデナ・カノ、エルザ・コロディン、フィリップ・アントルモン、ダニエル・バレンボイムといった著名な音楽家の指導を受ける。数々のピアノ、室内楽コンクールで入賞。マラガ市管弦楽団、セビリア王立交響楽団、オルケスタ・プレスホベム、ザーイル・アンサンブル、シモン・ボリバル・ユース・オーケストラなど数々のオーケストラにソリストとして参加し好評を博す。現在、セビリアのマヌエル・カスティーリョ音楽院にてコンサートと教育を結合させ活動中。最新CD「アルベニス:組曲《イベリア》全曲」(Lindoroレーベル)も世界で高い評価を得る。

特定非営利活動法人 響ホール室内合奏団(弦楽合奏団)
 北九州市の音楽専用ホール・響ホールの初代館長の“地元の演奏家を育てていきたい”という熱意から1998年に結成された。北九州市と近郊の弦楽器奏者で構成され、響ホールを拠点に地域に根付いた活動を重ねる。ミュージック・アドヴァイザーにヴァイオリニストの澤和樹氏(東京藝術大学教授・音楽学部長)、アソシエート・コンポーザーに作曲家の松下功氏(東京藝術大学教授)が就任。2003年には創立5周年を記念して英国公演を行い好評を博す。2006年には韓国国際音楽祭に招騁され、チェロのヤン・ソン=ウォン氏や人間国宝の尺八奏者、山本邦山氏と共演。2008年、創立10周年を記念して東京(紀尾井ホール)等にて公演を行い各地で絶賛される。2011年、韓国ソウルアートセンター室内楽ホールのこけら落とし公演に出演。2003年、北九州市文化奨励賞受賞。2012年にチェンバリスト中野振一郎氏との共演で響ホールにて収録されたCD『女神たちの響宴』(コジマ録音)を発売。

Taras Demchyshyn, clarinet
Born in Lviv, the Ukraine, in 1984 into a musical family, Taras began studying the clarinet when he was seven years old. After graduating from the Solomiya Krushelnytska Music Boarding School and the Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Academy of Music, Taras went to Germany to study at the Academy of Music in Darmstadt. With the help of a Villa Musica scholarship he moved to Berlin where he graduated with first class honors from the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin. He has studied with Karl Hennel, Yuriy Kortchinsky, Michael Schmidt, Kurt Schmidt, Ralf Forster and Diethelm Kühn. Taras won second prize in the 2000/2003 Dmytro Bida International Competition and in the 2005 Waldthausen Music Competition. He also won first prize in the 2005 Da Ponte-Stiftung Competition and in the 2006 Oberstdorf Musiksommer Seminar Competition. At the 12th OSAKA International Music Competition (2011) he won first prize (Woodwinds), the Grand Prix, the Audience Award and the Also Award. He participated in the 2012 ARD International Music Competition. Since 2007 Taras has been principal clarinettist with The Kyushu Symphony Orchestra. He has performed as soloist with that orchestra, playing the Mozart Concerto with conductor Yukinori Tezuka and a Weber concerto with conductor Tatsuya Shimono. He participated in the Kitakyushu International Music Festival in 2009. In 2010, he made his conducting debut. He studied conducting in Japan with Kazuyoshi Akiyama and from 2013, with Tatsuya Shimono and Masahiko Okochi at Ueno Gakuen University. In 2012 he took part in a chamber music concert in Seville with members of the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra, gave master classes at the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, he was a member of the jury at the Nishinihon International Music Competition, and played the Aaron Copland clarinet concerto with the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra under conductor Alan Buribayev. Also in 2012 he was invited to perform a Weber concerto with Ensemble Kobe conducted by Leon Spieler. In 2013 he played the Mozart clarinet concerto with the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra conducted by Golo Berg. In 2014 he gave a solo recital at the Yamaha Ginza Concert Salon in Tokyo.
Taras is also guest principal clarinettist with the New Japan Philharmonic. Since April 2013 he has been a Yamaha Official Clarinet Artist. In the same year, he released his first album “Ulysse Delécluse: QUATORZE GRANDES ETUDES sur des motifs d’œuvres classiques et moderns” [World premiere recording] on ALM RECORDS.

Nazar Yasnytskyy, violin
Born in Lviv in the Ukraine, he is the older brother of Taras Demchyshyn. He began his musical studies at Solomiya Krushelnytska Music Boarding School and then later continued to study at Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Academy of Music, graduating in 1995. Nazar participated in the Mykola Lysenko Music Competition (Kharkov, 1992) and the “Golden Autumn” International Chamber Music Competition (Hmelnyck, Ukraine, 1993). In 1996 he took part in masterclasses with the concertmasters of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Rainer Kussmaul and Thomas Brandis.
From 1994 to 1998, he served as assistant concertmaster of the Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet. At the same time, he held the position of principal second violin of the Chamber Orchestra “Lviv Virtuosos”. He also formed his string quartet “Opera and Ballet”. From 1998 to 2001, he served as concertmaster and soloist of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Since 2001 Nazar Yasnytskyy has played with Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla as principal second violin and subsequently as second desk of first violins and sometimes as assistant concertmaster. He is also concertmaster of Orquesta “Sur”. Nazar Yasnytskyy is active too as a chamber musician.

Óscar Martín, harpsichord
Born in Seville in 1976, Óscar Martín studied piano at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Seville with Professors José Antonio Coso and Ana Guijarro. He then continued his studies at Musikhochschule Freiburg, Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid and Conservatorium van Amsterdam, taking classes with professors Tibor Szàsz, Vitali Berzon, Dimitri Bashkirov, Galina Eguiazarova and Jan Wijn. He has also received advice from renowned musicians of the national and international scene including Almudena Cano, Elza Kolodin, Philippe Entremont and Daniel Barenboim. He has been prizewinner at several piano and chamber music competitions.
Óscar Martín has performed as soloist with orchestras such as Orquesta Ciudad de Málaga, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orchesta Presjovem, Zahir Ensemble and Joven Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar, gaining considerable success amongst the audience and critics. He currently combines his concert work with teaching at the Music Conservatory “Manuel Castillo” in Seville. His latest recording of the complete Suite Iberia for solo piano by Isaac Albéniz, with collaboration of Lindoro label, has received outstanding critical acclaim.

Hibiki Strings of Japan
Hibiki Strings of Japan was founded in 1998 by the first director of Hibiki Hall in Kitakyushu City who wished to nurture local talent. Consisting of musicians from Kitakyushu and the neighbouring areas, the ensemble plays an active role in the local community from their base in Hibiki Hall. Its Music Advisor is violinist Kazuki Sawa (Professor and Head of Music Department of Tokyo University of the Arts) and Associate Composer is Isao Matsushita (Professor of Tokyo University of the Arts).
In their fifth anniversary year in 2003, Hibiki Strings made their UK debut gaining high acclaim. In 2006, they were invited to the Seoul International Music Festival where they performed with cellist Sung-Won Yang and shakuhachi player Hozan Yamamoto (Living National Treasure). To celebrate their tenth anniversary in 2008, the ensemble gave concerts in Tokyo (Kioi Hall) and elsewhere which received excellent reviews. In 2011, they took part in the inaugural concert of the Seoul Arts Center IBK Chamber Hall.
Hibiki Strings was awarded the Art Encouragement Prize of Kitakyushu City in 2003. Their recording “The Feast of the Muses”, recorded in Hibiki Hall with harpsichordist Shinichiro Nakano, was released in 2012 by ALM RECORDS and was chosen as recommended disc in the Record Geijutsu Magazine.
