アルカンジェロ・コレッリ（1653-1713）没後３００年記念
バロック音楽の代表的作品として広く愛される《ラ・フォリア》を含むコレッリの「ヴァイオリン・ソナタ集 作品５」の全曲盤（2枚組）。1700年にローマで出版され、18世紀末までにおよそ40の版を重ねるなど、ヨーロッパ全土で広く演奏されてきた12のヴァイオリン・ソナタは、17世紀を通じて発展したイタリア・ヴァイオリン音楽の集大成的な作品であり、18世紀の美と気品のスタンダードともなった。古楽界で長年デュオとして活躍してきた「大江戸バロック」こと桐山建志と大塚直哉は、その巧みな技巧と洗練された音楽性によって生気あふれる作品の魅力を浮かび上がらせる。作曲家没後300年の今年こそ聴きたい、元禄時代に生まれたヨーロッパ音楽の必聴盤！

【大江戸バロック】
ヨーロッパ各地にバロック音楽が大きく花開いたのは、日本ではちょうど江戸時代の初め頃から中期に重なります。先んじて、日本の武将で初めて西洋音楽を聴いたのは［織田信長］という説も。バロック時代には、宮廷音楽、教会音楽など今も時代を越えて親しまれる名作品が数々生まれました。日本とヨーロッパで学び、活躍する疾風怒濤のDUO、魅力溢れる演奏をお届けします。

長野県出身。3才の時に自分で楽器を選び、ヴァイオリンを始める。東京藝術大学を経て同大学院修了。フランクフルト音楽大学卒業。1998年第12回古楽コンクール｢山梨｣第1位、第10回栃木｢蔵の街｣音楽祭賞受賞。1999年ブルージュ国際古楽コンクールソロ部門第１位。2005年には古楽コンクール「山梨」の審査員を務める。1996年から2001年まで「ラ・スタジオーネ・フランクフルト」メンバー。1999年から2008年まで「オーケストラ・シンポシオン」のコンサート・マスターを務める。現在「エルデーディ弦楽四重奏団」ヴィオラ奏者、「松本バッハ祝祭アンサンブル」コンサート・マスター。愛知県立芸術大学准教授、フェリス女学院大学非常勤講師。2000年秋にリリースしたデビューCD｢シャコンヌ｣(レコード芸術誌特選盤)を皮切りに､多数のCDを主にコジマ録音よりリリース。シリーズCD「ヴァイオリン音楽の領域」(ALCD-1045,1055)などでも高い評価を得る。2009年、ベーレンライター社より星野宏美氏との共同校訂による「メンデルスゾーン：ヴァイオリン・ソナタ全集」の楽譜を出版。

東京藝術大学大学院チェンバロ専攻、アムステルダム音楽院チェンバロ科およびオルガン科修了。アムステルダム郊外の聖ウルバヌス教会のオルガニストを務めたほか、ヨーロッパの各地で演奏活動を行なう。99年暮れより東京に拠点を移し、「アンサンブル・コルディエ」「バッハ・コレギウム・ジャパン」などのアンサンブルにおける通奏低音奏者として、またチェンバロ、オルガン、クラヴィコードのソリストとして活躍するほか、これらの楽器に初めて触れる人のためのワークショップを各地で行なっている。チェンバロのソロCD「トッカーレ［触れる］」、「クラヴィス〜鍵〜」（ALM RECORDS）、ヴァイオリンの桐山建志とのシリーズCD「J. S. バッハ：ヴァイオリンとチェンバロのための作品集」全5巻（ALM RECORDS）のほか、多くの録音に参加。現在、東京藝術大学准教授、国立音楽大学非常勤講師、「アンサンブル・コルディエ」音楽監督。また、宮崎県立芸術劇場、彩の国さいたま芸術劇場、台東区立旧東京音楽学校奏楽堂のオルガン事業アドヴァイザーを務める。NHK-FM「古楽の楽しみ」案内役として出演中。

O-EDO BAROQUE
The period in which Baroque music flourished all over Europe coincides with the early to mid-Edo Period in Japan. There is a theory that the first Japanese person to hear Western music, many years before it became established in Japan, was Nobunaga Oda, a member of the Samurai warrior class. Many immortal masterpieces of court and church music, still much-loved to this day, were written during this period. This “Sturm und Drang” duo, who studied and are active in both Japan and Europe, perform this music in a highly attractive and appealing way.

At the age of three, Nagano-born Takeshi Kiriyama chose to begin learning to play the violin, and went on to attain both under-graduate and graduate degrees from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He also graduated from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main (Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts). In 1998 he won first prize in the 12th Competition for Early Music Yamanashi, and 10th Tochigi Kuranomachi Music Festival Award. In 1999 he was first prize winner in the International Early Music Competition in Bruges, and in 2005 he was invited back to the Competition for Early Music Yamanashi to serve on the jury. He was a member of La Stagione Frankfurt from 1996 to 2001, and concert master of the Orchestra Symposion from 1999 to 2008. Takeshi currently plays the viola in the Erdödy Quartet and is concert master of the Bach Festival Ensemble Matsumoto. He is also an associate professor at the Aichi University of the Arts and a part time lecturer at Ferris University. His debut CD “Chaconne”, released in 2000, appeared in the “Specially Selected” list of the music magazine Record Geijutsu. Since then he has made numerous recordings for the Kojima Recordings ALM label. The series of recordings entitled “The Realms of Violin Music” (ALCD-1045,1055) has been very well received. In 2009 Bärenreiter published the complete Mendelssohn Violin Sonatas, which Takeshi co-edited with Hiromi Hoshino.

Naoya Otsuka (Harpsichord) http://homepage3.nifty.com/utremi
Naoya Otsuka majored in harpsichord at the Tokyo University of the Arts, and furthered his studies in harpsichord and organ at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In addition to his duties as organist at the St. Urbanus Church on the outskirts of Amsterdam, he performed regularly throughout Europe. Since returning to Tokyo in late 1999, he has played continuo for groups such as Ensemble Cordier and Bach Collegium Japan, given solo recitals on the harpsichord, organ and clavichord, and organized workshops all over the country for people who have had no previous interaction with these instruments. Naoya has participated in a large number of recordings, in addition to a solo CD “Toccare”, “Clavis” and the five volume series J.S. Bach: Works for Violin and Harpsichord with violinist Takeshi Kiriyama (ALM RECORDS). At present he is an associate professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts, a part-time lecturer at the Kunitachi College of Music, and music director of the Ensemble Cordier. He is also organ advisor for the Medikit Arts Center Miyazaki, the Saitama Arts Theater, and the Sogakudo Concert Hall, and presents “The Pleasure of Early Music” program on NHK-FM.
