音楽の根源へのたゆまぬ思索によって、音楽に静かな衝撃を投げ続ける音楽家・高橋悠治の最初期作から最近作までを一望のもとに聴かせるギター作品集。ギター界のみならず現代音楽界、果ては現代芸術界全体を大きく揺るがす鬼才・笹久保伸とのコラボレーションによって、音が情報として氾濫する現代においてなお生命を保ち続ける音楽への大きな問いが立ち現れる。音楽はいまどこにいるのか、これからどこに進むのかを深く問いかける一枚。

Shin Sasakubo笹久保伸（ギター、歌、朗読）

1983年生まれ。おもに現代音楽とアンデス音楽を演奏するギタリスト。日本でクラシックギターを学びその後ペルーに在住。アンデスの農村で音楽を採集調査しながらギタリストとしてイタリア、ギリシャ、ブルガリア、アルゼンチン、チリ、ボリビア、ペルーなどで公演。2008年頃からアート運動・秩父前衛派の活動をはじめ、音楽、映画、美術、演劇、詩、写真など様々な文脈で活動。

2015年までにCD22枚と映画3作品を発表。作曲家の高橋悠治、Sylvano Bussotti、Carlo Domeniconi、杉山洋一らの新作を初演している。

Timothy Harrisティモシー・ハリス（朗読）

『エドワード３世』の日本初演を含む、多くのシェイクスピア劇の上演に演出家、俳優として携わる。東京で数多くの現代英語劇に出演する他、演出も行っている。NHKのドラマ『白洲次郎』ではマッカーサー元帥役を、また『龍馬伝』ではペリー提督役を演じた。また、東京ではモンテヴェルディのオペラ《オルフェオ》を指揮した他、新国立劇場のブリテン《ピーター・グライムズ》、ウォルトン《ベルシャザールの饗宴》、エルガー《海の絵》上演に際して、日本の合唱団やソリストのための英語ディクション指導を担当した。

Shin Sasakubo, born in 1983, is a guitarist who specializes in contemporary music and music from the Andes. After completing his classical guitar studies in Japan, Shin moved to Peru to study the folk music of rural villages. At the same time he pursued a successful career as a solo guitarist, performing in Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru. Since 2008 he has led the Chichibu Avant-Garde art movement, which supports music, film, fine art, theater, poetry and photography in various contexts. Shin has released 22 CDs and three movies. He has premiered works by Yuji Takahashi, Sylvano Bussotti, Carlo Domeniconi and Yoichi Sugiyama.

Timothy Harris has directed and acted in many Shakespeare plays, including the first performance in Japan of Edward III. He has also acted in and directed a number of contemporary English-language plays in Tokyo. He played General Douglas MacArthur in NHK’s Shirasu Jiro, and Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry in NHK’s Ryoumaden. He has also directed opera (Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo) in Tokyo. At the New National Theatre, Tokyo, he was the diction coach for the Japanese chorus and soloists in a production of Britten’s Peter Grimes, as well as for the chorus and soloists in Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast and Elgar’s Sea Pictures.
